L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. (LSC) is a full-service Employment and Contracting Compliance/Business Development firm headquartered in Washington, DC. We seek to urgently hire a part-time, highly organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team on temporary assignment . As an Administrative Assistant, you will support our office operations and ensure smooth day-to-day activities. This is a part-time position with opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities:
The administrative assistant must attend weekly virtual meetings with the Owner/Operator (LSC) and the Grant Symposium Committee.
The Maryland MBDA Business Center is seeking an administrative assistant who possesses a solid working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Social Media Marketing and is technologically savvy. The administrative assistant will be responsible for supporting administrative and professional tasks, including but not limited to event planning, marketing, data research, scheduling, answering calls professionally and courteously, and making follow-up calls to enhance the Center's mission. Additionally, you may be required to update, correct, and improve file systems and databases. You will be a vital part of our team in supporting all Symposium tasks, and meeting deadlines will be a fundamental expectation. As assigned, the assistant will be expected to support the Business Center's Program Director, Senior Business Development Consultant, and Office Manager and must work in alignment with LSC staff members as needed.
· Perform general clerical duties, including but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
· Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
· Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
· Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
· Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
· Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness.
· Transcribe meeting minutes and other important notes. Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.
Qualifications:
· Familiarity with phone systems and office equipment operation
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
· Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
The hourly wage is $22.50. Office hours are 9:00 AM—5:00 PM. Work will be five (5) hours daily, 25 (25) hours per week, Monday through Friday, at the 1 North Charles Street office, Suite 707, Baltimore, MD 21201. The schedule for reporting to the office may differ from week to week. This position is temporary and will end on December 31, 2024
