We are seeking a passionate and dedicated online Algebra I Teacher to join our team and provide high-quality instruction to a small class of middle school students. As an online Algebra I teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that help students develop a solid foundation in algebraic concepts and problem-solving skills.
- Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 am to 10:05 am (online only) These are set hours

$45 per class/day
- Journey follows a traditional 9-month school calendar
- Position begins August 13, 2024
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare well-structured lessons that align with the Algebra I curriculum used at Journey.

Deliver live online instruction using interactive tools and platforms to engage students and facilitate learning.

Create and administer assessments, quizzes, and tests to evaluate student understanding and progress.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and achievement.

Identify individual student learning needs and differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administrators to provide updates on student progress and performance.

Foster a positive and supportive online learning environment conducive to student success and engagement.

Stay current with trends and developments in online education and integrate innovative teaching strategies and technologies into instruction.

Uphold professional standards and ethics in all interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.

Directing and answering questions for one student who will be taking a virtual independent study geometry class.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Education, or related field.

Previous teaching experience teaching Algebra I, preferably in an online or virtual setting.

Ability to manage a classroom in a positive, controlled manner.

Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners and create inclusive learning environment.
- Organizational skills and attention to details to effectively plan and manage online instruction and assessments.

Passion of teaching and helping students succeed in mathematics.

Attend online or in person training of school's SIS program.
