Job Description: Field Sampling Technician - Permian Basin
Location: Permian Basin
Located in the Permian Basin, the Field Sampling Technician plays a vital role in our operations. This is an hourly position to primarily collect and label samples from oil wells and facilities with identifying data, location of sample, date, and time of sample collection. You will also be required to perform on-site field testing for dissolved gasses and pH. Work instructions will be followed to ensure consistent quality and safety standards are achieved.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and maintain a valid Driver's License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record. The candidate will provide their own field worthy vehicle and be paid a vehicle allowance as well as cost of fuel for sampling activity. The minimum age requirement is 21 years or older, and immigration sponsorship is not provided for this role. Physical requirements include the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 55 pounds chest high. As a safety-sensitive position, candidates should expect to undergo drug testing. Additionally, a willingness for overnight travel to support sampling activities is essential. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook, is required.
Candidates must demonstrate a history of autonomy and self-motivation in prior field work, along with strong multitasking abilities. A flexible schedule, including rotation-based shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary. Proficiency in English language, legible handwriting, and basic mathematics is expected, along with effective verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is crucial. Overtime and travel may be required, reflecting a commitment to quality service. Experience in field sampling is preferred.

Technical and Professional Skills:
· Experience in field sampling preferred
· Safeland USA, H2S Clear, Basin United training a plus
Responsibilities:
· Safely collect water, oil, and solids samples for transfer to the laboratory
· Label samples with identifying data, location, date, and time of collection
· Conduct on-site field testing for dissolved gases and pH
· Assist Laboratory Technicians in sample preparation and testing
· Ensure completion of all sampling-related paperwork accurately and promptly
· Adhere to sample schedules as assigned
· Complete post sampling reports
· Participate in safety and training programs mandated by the company and clients
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
