Law office specializing in personal injury is hiring a Litigation Legal Assistant to provide support to the litigation team to ensure that the goals and standards of the litigation department and firm are met. The firm is looking for a candidate who wants to work helping injured victims achieve justice. Candidates should be familiar with the Civil Procedure Rules, Court Rules of Nevada, statutes, and deadlines.
As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Managing / archiving correspondence between attorney and clients
- Organizing and maintaining electronic files
- Recording client preferences, managing client accounts, and requests
- Maintaining attorney calendars
- Providing proactive and advanced legal support
- Translating for attorney for Spanish speaking clients
- Extensive client communication on appointment reminders, case status updates, answering questions / concerns, etc.
- Meeting with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects
- Drafting legal documents including, but not limited to, correspondence, routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, interrogatories, and other legal documents for attorney review
- Handling of incoming mail for the litigation department
- Prioritizing activities and workflow; routinely monitoring reports and messages to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships
- Maintaining excellent verbal and written communications internally and externally
- Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings
- Other duties as assigned
