Description:Position Purpose: Responsible for coordinating the movement of finished goods to our customers. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the following Account Management Functions:
- Filing – maintenance of orderly files for necessary records
- Shipping-Establish Packing Lists as needed for on-time deliveries.
- Responsible for scheduling of customer shipping of products using key logistics vendors and communicating shipments with our Warehouse team.
- Secure quotes and negotiate freight rates with carriers.
- Track shipments in real-time, monitor for potential delays, and proactively communicate any issues.
- Manage and maintain positive relationships with carriers, fostering strong partnerships.
- Ensures that product packing list matches what is actual shipped, ie, box counts, palletizing, labels, etc. in coordination with Warehouse Manager
- Responsible for working with Production Planning in scheduling production runs from work orders to ensure production goals are met.
- Follow sales orders from receipt from customer service to shipment ensuring all shipments are accurate and made to meet our customer commitments.
- Helps to facilitate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, customer service, warehouse, engineering, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and work safely.
- Responsible for utilizing IQ Management software to enter orders & send formal acknowledgements, as well as setting up pick tickets for outbound shipments.
- Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.
Requirements:Education:
- High School Diploma Required
- College Degree in business related field preferred
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of shipping/logistics experience
Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of ERP system use
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent negotiation, communication, interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
- Strong understanding of logistics principles, transportation modes, and freight forwarding.
- Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines
- Ability to make timely fact-based decisions; shows good judgment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and handle projects to completion
- Ability to oversee and drive customer commitments
- Ability to speak both English and Spanish would be helpful but not necessary
