Capital City Surgery Center has seven (7) operating rooms and three (3) procedure rooms; specialties include total joint (shoulder, hip, knee, partial knee) and spine surgery, general orthopedics, foot and ankle surgery, hand surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatric and adult general surgery and urology.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful outcomes of our patients. This is a full-time position within our busy surgical department.
Duties:
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterilized and readily available
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery
- Hand instruments, sutures, and other supplies to the surgeon during procedures
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery by following proper aseptic techniques
- Assist with wound closure and dressing application
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized operating room
Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or
- Successful completion of the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification exam or
- Completion of a facility based on the job training with minimum 10 years’ experience.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
