- Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination;
- Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel;
- Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body;
- Demonstrates Basic Life Support Skills;
- Maintain medical supplies at adequate levels;
- Trained in proper method of injecting contrast media and the potential risks associated with this process;
- Practices proper safety precautions in the magnet environment and informs patients, staff and visitors according to established guidelines;
- Trains and advises new employees to routine protocols and processes;
- Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards;
- Ensure speed and quality of service in report turnaround to referring physicians;
- Ensures patient and equipment safety by following the MRI safety policy and procedure;
- Specifically documents all scan parameters, ICD-10 coding, and billing charges daily and for each exam;
- Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements;
- Performs other related duties as assigned;
- Displays courtesy and respect to all patients, medical staff, visitors and co-workers.
