It is the primary responsibility of the Cage Cashier to process monetary transactions and exchange with guests.
Core Job Responsibilities:

Perform frontline entry level transactions, chip bank transactions, cage credit transactions and employee bank/window transactions

Cash all types of checks for patrons within the specified guidelines; record all checks cashed in the specified computer system

Redeem chips/tokens, TITO (ticket in/ticket out) and Race and Sports tickets for patrons
-
Conduct both Marker and Front Money transactions on patron accounts

Secure and document all recordable transactions made with company assets
-
Complete electronic multiple transaction logs accurately, complete transaction logs manually, when necessary

Perform other job-related duties as requested

Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
Preferred:

Experience with Title 31 reporting

Experience working in a similar resort setting
Qualifications:
-
General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication division, and money handling

Ability to balance a bank without assistance (locating errors when out of balance)

Demonstrate knowledge mastery of relationship between banks, especially main bank, and other banks and front service windows

Knowledge of 10-key adding machine, currency counter and cash advance machine
-
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
-
Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine

Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

High school diploma or equivalent
-
One (1) year of Casino Cage Cashier experience

Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification, specifically a Nevada Gaming license
Physical Demands:
- Work is performed in an indoor secured cage setting.

Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.

May be exposed to smoke

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.

Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.

Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally

Eye/hand coordination.
