The position of bilingual FRONT DESK RESEARCH ASSISTANT at Center for Clinical Studies, involves support to the Research team in their day-to-day activities necessary to meet all assigned protocol tasks. The candidate must have a friendly, "can-do" attitude with a professional presence suitable for a medical front desk. Work environment is an outpatient medical office setting. This is an entry-level full-time hourly position Monday through Friday, from 7:45am to 4:45pm.
Requirements & responsibilities: This position will perform a variety of medical receptionist, clerical and other duties as assigned.
- Bilingual, English-Spanish required
- Medical terminology, English-Spanish required
- Attention to detail and accuracy required
- Phlebotomy skills highly preferred
- Strong front desk Medical Assistant skills
- Answer phone calls in a pleasant and professional manner
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using Electronic Scheduling System
- Greet and receive patients and visitors
- Room patients
- Responsible for prepping study binders/ packets
- Responsible for calling and recruiting patients from various sources including sponsor referrals, patient lists and cold calls.
- Assist team with data entry and other clerical duties
- Assist as backup to the lab
- Assist with archiving study files
- Must be reliable AND punctual
- Able to prioritize and multi-task in a quick and efficient manner
- Ability to learn and apply new skills and procedures
- Ensure consistent patient privacy and confidentiality
- Able to receive constructive criticism with a professional and positive attitude
- Friendly, cheerful and outgoing personality; ambitious “whatever it takes” attitude
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus additional specialized courses or training required. Previous Medical Assistant, Laboratory and computer experience is preferred as well as customer service work.
