Mrs. Gerry’s was founded in 1973 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Mrs. Gerry’s is a premier salad and side manufacturer and offers 120 different products which are sold coast to coast. We are looking for great team members who desire a friendly work environment and want to learn how we create delicious fresh potato salad, warm mashed potatoes, cold pasta salads, zesty dips and more. Our products enable families and friends to celebrate around the dinner or picnic table every day.
HOURS: Full time business hours, 7:30am-4:30am. Hours may vary depending on workplace requirements and special projects.
DAYS: Monday - Friday

SUMMARY
Create, plan, and run training programs. Follow the ATD Talent Development Capability Model; Organizational, Personal, and Professional. The model will help in developing self, others, and the organization. Design custom training programs that may take place online, or in classrooms. Organize and deliver training sessions using lectures, team exercises, and other formats.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Primarily office hours 7:30am-4:30pm with occasional training and assessments on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultations with managers.
- Design and create training plans, manuals, online learning modules, and course materials.
- Review training materials from multiple sources and choose appropriate materials.
- Deliver training to employees using a variety of instructional techniques.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training by evaluating performance results.
- Assist in evaluating training programs and external vendor capabilities.
- Perform administrative tasks such as monitoring costs, scheduling classes, setting up systems and equipment, and coordinating enrollment.
- Collect feedback on courses from attendees and their managers to determine necessary enhancements to content and presentations.
- Develop training aids such as Quick Reference Guides (QRG), Infographics, and trainer delivery guides.
- Communicate professionally with vendors and employees.
- Assess trends affecting talent development, digital transformation, data analytics, information availability, and partnerships between talent development and the business.
- Design and coordinate performance reviews. See the process through completion per deadlines.
- Assist with job description updates to ensure position requirements and competencies are current.
- Assist HR Manager with projects and daily tasks to ensure efficiencies of the department.
- Deliver learning and exhibit behaviors that supports Mrs. Gerry’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Collaboration skills. Strong interpersonal skills delivering training programs, requires coordinating with instructors, subject-matter experts, and trainees.
Communication skills. Must convey information clearly (verbal, written) and facilitate learning to diverse audiences. Must hold employee information confidential.
Creativity. Should be resourceful when developing training materials. May need to think of and implement new approaches when considering training methods.
Instructional skills. Deliver employee training programs. Must have strong training and presentation skills to meet the learning needs of a particular group.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree and/or 5+ years’ experience in related occupation of training, development, performance, and/or human resources.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
English (read, speak, & write) fluently.
Spanish (read, speak, & write) beneficial.
Karen (read, speak & write) beneficial.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Required to wear PPE when in production areas to ensure safe food and adhering to safety practices.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

When providing learning or walking through the plant to perform the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts. The employee will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions when traveling between entrances; extreme cold (non-weather); extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Works primarily in an office environment with visits in the production areas of the plant.
