Seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant who is motivated, proactive, well organized, and able to multi-task. Must be able to work in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities and juggling tasks. This position will be expected to behave in a professional and ethical manner. Need to be proficient with computer software and be able to photocopy, scan, fax, and other supply chain clerical/office activities as needed. Candidate will work at our headquarters located in Falls Church, Virginia. Priority will be given to those qualified individuals who reside within the area. Individual must be able to work 9:00 am - 5:30 pm M-F.
General Responsibilities:
- Will do various tasks within the office work environment such as assisting the HR Department in regarding to payroll and employee relations.
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Coordinate with other departments for inventory and budgeting analysis.
- Retrieve information when requested
- Monitor incoming emails and answer or forward as required
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in Office Administrative work
- Experience in Paychex Payroll System is the plus
- Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish is a plus
- Competent computer skills
- Internet skills including use of e-mails and data collection
- Proofreading and understanding of grammar
- Strong research, literacy and technical writing skills
- Excellent communicator with public speaking abilities
